EQL:Pro Round 3 demos

The demos from the third round of EQL:Pro have been collected in neat packages for your convenience:

For Easy to Kill vs Fusion there are no demos available as the game simply didn’t take place. If you are looking for demos from the previous rounds of EQL:Pro then you can find them on the EQL:Pro demos page.

EQL:Pro Round 3 played

Tonight it was time for EQL:Pro games again. The following games were played at 20:00CET:

Group A

Quakeklan vs Suddendeath

Slackers vs Teamkillers

Group B

CCCP vs OJOJ VITUN HELPPO!

Easy to Kill vs Fusion (should have been played, but Easy to Kill couldn’t field four players)

The most anticipated game of the evening was the one between Suddendeath vs Quakeklan where we would get to see a quite even game, but Suddendeath could close the deal the last five minutes. On the second map, DM3, Suddendeath let their new hot prospect Rkd onto the map and he showed that he can find RL on the map at least.

The other game, that turned out to be even more exciting, was the one between CCCP and OJOJ VITUN HELPPO!. As you may know, should OJOJ have lost 1-2 against CCCP then the team currently on third place, Fusion, had been without any chance to advance to the semifinal. The game included an overtime E1M2 round aswell as a restarted DM2 round which ended with a very narrow margin.

The scores can be found on the Refragged EQL:Pro coverage page

SD on no sex diet til Sunday

The final round of the EQL:Pro group stages approaches quickly and on Sunday it’s to be decided which teams make it into the semifinal round. A particularly interesting game is the one between the Swedish rivals Suddendeath and Quakeklan – two clans that are on equal points and will play a deciding game for the second spot against eachother.

To check whether the special circumstances requires special preparations i got hold of the godfather and founder of Suddendeath for an in-depth analysis of the situation. The person i’m talking about is of course coach Trash!

Check out what Trash had to say about the Sunday clash!

EQL:Pro demos collected

The demos from the first two rounds in the EQL:Pro league have been collected and divided per game. They’re also visible on a page separated from the scores as to avoid spoilers for those of you who have not been following the tournament that closely as of yet.

EQL:Pro round 1&2 predictions

The division 1 player Rikoll has written a preview on the EQL:Pro action coming up tomorrow where he takes a look at the teams participating and the upcoming games.

“I suspect this game to be quite one sided, but for excitements sake lets hope Quakeklan puts up the game of their lives. Quakeklans best hope would be E1M2, and pull off some magic teamplay / quad runs, and hopefully ruin some of Slackers moral before an eventual decider. Normally I think Slackers would simply be too dominating on DM2 and DM3, but I’ve been wrong before.

Something that Quakeklan should strive to use to their advantage is that Dimman and TheEvilDog have both been partly schooled into the division 1 players they are in the Slackers2 project, which has probably given them a great insight into master Paradoks’ tactical thinking, who’s now on the opposing side.”

- Rikoll on Slackers vs Quakeklan, one of the games tomorrow

Do you agree with the reasoning he’s doing in the article or is he plain wrong about pretty much everything? Let us know in the comments!
